Location

Travelling from outside of Ireland Doolin is located one hour North West of Shannon Airport beside the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. Shannon International Airport is about a one hour drive from Doolin.  Direct flights daily are operated to the UK, mainland Europe and the US.  Bus Services Bus Eireann operate a comprehensive provincial service to Doolin and all busses stop 5 minutes walk from Roadford House.  The national bus routes to Ireland’s other main towns and cities can be viewed on www.buseireann.ie      Directons to Doolin from Dublin. Allow 3.5 to 5hrs driving time 1/ Get onto the M50 and head for the N7 southbound. You will head south on the N7 as far as Limerick. 2/ In Limerick follow the signs for Shannon Airport or Ennis. 3/ Take the N18 from Limerick to Ennis. 4/ Take the N85 from Ennis to Ennistymon via Inagh. 5/ Drive straight through Ennistymon towards Lisdoonvarna on the N67. 6/ You will come to a crossroads after about 10 miles where you can take a right to Lisdoonvarna or  turn left onto the R478. This road will bring you to Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher. 7/ After about 3 miles you will come to a cross roads with a small Gas Station and shop on your right. Turn right down the hill towards the village of Doolin.  you will pass the National school on your left. 8  You will come to a T junction at the bottom of the hill .. turn right and travel for about 10 minutes until you reach McDermott's pub.  Take the slip road on your left across from the pub and Roadford House is 2 minutes up this road on the right. Directions From Shannon Airport. Allow 1 to 1.5 hrs driving time 1/ Take the N18 from Shannon to Ennis. 2/ Take the N85 from Ennis to Ennistymon via Inagh 3/ Drive straight through Ennistymon towards Lisdoonvarna on the N67. 4/ At the 4th crossroads turn left onto the R478. This road will bring you to Doolin and the Cliffs of Moher. 5/After about 2-3 miles you come to a crossroads and a small Gas Station and shop on your left.  Turn right down the hill towards Doolin village. 6/ At the bottom of the hill you reach a T junction turn right and travel for about 5 minutes until you reach McDermott's pub.  Take the slip road across from the pub on your left and Roadford House is 50 meters up on your right.  Directions from Galway. Allow 1.5 hrs driving time 1/ Take the N18 out of Galway, and turn right in the village of Kilcolgan on to the N67. 2/ Stay on the N67 as far as Ballyvaughan. 3/ In Ballyvaughan turn right and follow the coast road from Ballyvaughan.  You will reach a crossroads where there is an entrance to Ballinalackne Castle... at this point you take a right for Doolin. 4/ Stay on this road for a bout 2.5 miles and you will come to Doolin Church.  Keep going for another 5 minutes and you will reach McDermott's Pub.  Take the slip road to your right and Roadford House is 50 meters up on your right.   Flowers of The Burren County Clare   click on images to enlarge
